Prenatal Fitness
You’re expecting!! Congratulations!!
You’re in the right place. Studies have shown that in most cases, safe, intentional exercise during pregnancy offers significant health benefits to you and your baby.

What are the benefits of exercise during pregnancy?
Truly, too many to list! But here’s a start:
Strength and support for your body so pregnancy is easier and more comfortable
Fewer newborn complications, and a higher likelihood that your baby will have a healthy bodyweight
Prevention and minimization of issues like diastasis recti (abdominal separation), pelvic organ prolapse, and stress incontinence
Improved mood, energy, and stress management; and a lower risk of depression
Preparation for the physical demands of mamahood
When should I avoid exercise during pregnancy?
Certain health conditions may limit the exercise that’s safe for you during pregnancy. Examples include gestational hypertension, placenta previa, and persistent vaginal bleeding.
Always talk to your healthcare provider before beginning a prenatal exercise program.

Why work with a prenatal personal trainer?
I’ve been working with mamas-to-be since 2018 and have seen firsthand the incredible difference a dedicated prenatal exercise program can make.
As a certified prenatal personal trainer, I know what to expect at different stages of pregnancy and how and when to adapt and modify exercises so you can have the safest, most effective workouts possible.
I know the little things that make a big difference, like 360° ribcage expansion, pelvic floor health, and monitoring/adjusting for abdominal coning and doming.
I also bring a wealth of knowledge and resources to help set you up for success. If you need a recommendation for a pelvic floor physio, or a great pregnancy book, I’ve got you covered!
What if I don’t exercise at all right now?
That’s ok! We can build up gradually to the recommended 150 mins of moderate-intensity physical activity per week.
Regardless of where you’re at in your pregnancy or your current activity level, we can get you started on a program to help you feel your best.

What clients are saying…

Tiffany T.
“I’ve trained with Kaitlyn through both my pregnancies and postpartum and I can’t say enough great things about her. She has helped me build strength and stamina through all my body’s changes and kept me looking and feeling great.
She is exceptionally knowledgeable and really took time to understand my unique goals. Her extensive prenatal knowledge made me feel really confident and safe training with her. I definitely attribute my easy deliveries and fast recoveries in part to all the work we did together.”

Ksenia W.
“I was pretty nervous going into my 2nd pregnancy, as I’d had issues with back pain since starting office work post-university, and it worsened during and after my 1st pregnancy. But training with Kaitlyn during this pregnancy made such a huge difference.
Every workout felt so good, and her focus was always that I was feeling safe and supported. I felt that the workouts were really tailored to my body and physical history, and appreciated the time she took to explain why we were doing what we were doing. She even took time outside of our weekly workouts to research questions I had!
Overall I would really recommend her for anyone seeking extra support for working out during pregnancy — it’s such a tricky time to navigate (physically and emotionally) and Kaitlyn made it so much easier.”
